My first Criterium in 18 years

Did my first criterium in 18 years this past weekend at the OCBC Cycle Singapore. I raced in the Masters (40+) race, and none other than multiple Olympic rider and Commonwealth Gold Medalist Graeme Miller was in my race. Gulp. Graeme finished 3rd and I finished 10th (only 7 places but several worlds apart). I made many faces of pain during the race.

I’ve just been introduced to Sufferfest and it’s really interesting! I do cycling classes at my gym and they’re intense, but this stuff looks just brutal. Who’s idea was this? Interval training at it’s beastliest.
